There’s something so special about capturing those first few weeks of a newborn’s life, those fleeting moments that pass by in the blink of an eye. Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing baby Arabella and her wonderful parents in the comfort of their home in Thetford. It was one of those heartwarming, intimate sessions that truly reflected the beauty of family life in its purest form.

Baby Arabella was an absolute dream to photograph. She spent most of the session peacefully sleeping in her mother’s arms, occasionally stirring to nuzzle close as she breastfed. Her parents sat together, cradling their daughter in soft, golden light, their quiet expressions full of love and awe. The gentle touches, the protective hands, the warmth of their embrace, it was all so beautifully tender.

The Comfort of Home

There’s something incredibly special about capturing these memories in the family’s own space. Their home in Thetford provided the perfect backdrop—a warm and cozy setting filled with personal touches that made the session even more meaningful. The muted tones of the nursery, the soft blankets draped over the sofa, and the way the natural light poured through the windows all added to the dreamy, peaceful atmosphere of the session.

I especially loved how the parents took turns soaking in the stillness of these moments, embracing the newness of their little family. There was no rush, no need for forced smiles—just the quiet joy of holding their daughter close. From the gentle rise and fall of Arabella’s breath to the way she instinctively curled up in her mother’s arms, every moment was delicate and intimate.
