Some sessions feel like flipping through a family’s favourite album – messy, sun-drenched, and full of love. That’s exactly how it felt photographing this brilliant family of five at Needham Lake, a little slice of wild tucked into the heart of Suffolk.
They brought energy, curiosity, and the kind of connection that can’t be posed. We had three kids doing what they do best – running wild, picking flowers, laughing like the world might split open (that last one might have been me, too).
From the moment we met, I could feel the trust – and that’s what makes images like these happen. A dad holding his baby, inked arms wrapped around the softest onesie. A little girl holding onto her mum’s braceleted wrist like a lifeline, flower in hand. And a big brother mid-roar, no filter, just pure joy.
